First, let us introduce ourselves. We’re a Brisbane-based ‘fintech’ (financial technology) company, more specifically in bill payments or ‘billtech’ as we like to call it. 

We were established in 2013 and our founder remains at the helm. We’ve grown our Sniip family >20 people, with a tech team of nine.

About the Role

Working as a member of the agile delivery team to develop new features and automation tests for our iOS and Android mobile applications.

Provide ad-hoc production support for native iOS and Android applications.

Attend, contribute and provide updates in standard agile meetings, elaboration, estimation, prioritisation, daily stand-up and retrospective.

Contribute ideas and provide feedback on the continuous improvement of the solution and technology roadmap.

Qualifications

• Industry experience of minimum 2 – 4 years  

• A degree or equivalent in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics 

Skills & Experience

• Passionate about all things mobile development

• Understanding of native mobile design guidelines, including iOS and Android best practices

• Self-motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude

• Well organised, diligent and has high quality standards

• Passion for learning new technologies

• Has strong understanding of programming principles

• Excited about working in a professional start-up environment

• Keen to learn Agile development practices (Scrum and Kanban)

• Understands importance of writing good automated tests to run within a CI/CD environment

Desirable Technical Skills

• iOS development using Swift and modern iOS SDKs

• Android development using Jetpack Compose, including modern Android SDKs and Kotlin features

• Experience with Unix/Linux environments, including Bash scripting and CI/CD tools such as CircleCI

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. code completion, refactoring, testing, and debugging tools) to enhance productivity and code quality
