Sniip soars into spotlight as one of QLD’s breakthrough Start-Ups

Sniip named one of Queensland’s top tech start-ups breaking new ground

Brisbane-based mobile payments app, Sniip has been named one of seven Queensland tech start-ups breaking new ground, as featured in the Courier Mail and syndicated across 10 News Corp mastheads nationwide.

The list, which includes other standout start-ups like ProcurePro, OfficeMaps and Little Hinges, highlights companies leading innovation in their sectors and scaling rapidly, with Sniip proudly representing the payments and fintech category.

The Courier Mail described Sniip as a “born-again start-up”, noting its explosive growth over the past three years. Originally founded in 2014, Sniip has seen record breaking growth in users, transactions, and bill payment volume,  with the majority of its lifetime activity occurring in just the past few years.

Sniip gives users the ability to receive and pay bills securely and seamlessly in app using their preferred payment method. Unlike traditional billers, Sniip gives payment control back to the user, while offering full rewards points on eligible payments.

The recognition follows a major milestone for Sniip, becoming the first Australian partner to offer Qantas Frequent Flyer points for household bill payments. The company also recently took out Excellence in Business – Best Innovation in Payments at the 2025 FinTech Australia Finnies Awards.

Sniip Founder and CEO Damien Vasta said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be recognised among the most exciting tech start-ups in Queensland. This is a reflection of the incredible team behind Sniip and the technology we’ve built together. From day one, we’ve focused on giving Australians a better, more secure and rewarding way to pay bills, and this recognition affirms that we’re on the right path. I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved so far, and even more excited for what’s ahead.”
