1. Can I use Sniip to pay into a biller’s bank account?
Yes! You can now pay bills that don’t offer BPAY with Sniip – it’s been our #1 requested feature and it’s now live!
To do this, simply upload your Invoice in the Sniip app. Start by tapping the blue ‘+’ button in the top right corner and then select: ‘Import from photo’ or ‘Import from email’. Alternatively, open the PDF of the invoice in your email app on your phone and tap the ‘Share’ button and then select, ‘Sniip’.
For a successful payment, your invoice must include the following:
– The phrase ‘Tax Invoice’ (please note: statements are not accepted)
– A description of the goods or services
– The biller’s ABN
– The total amount due
– Bank Account Details, including BSB & Account Number
Once uploaded, Sniip will automatically extract and import all the necessary information for you to review.
Friendly Reminder: When adding a bill, make sure to review the bill details carefully. This step is essential for your bill to be included in the compliance review process. If the bill details aren’t reviewed, it won’t be added to the compliance queue.
2. I heard I can pay with an Afterpay Plus card with Sniip - how do I set it up?
You can use your Afterpay Plus to pay bills directly through Sniip, think insurance, ATO, school fees, car rego, and plenty more.
Since Afterpay Plus is a digital card, It works through your Apple Pay or Google Pay wallet. When you’re ready to pay your bill in Sniip, just tap ‘Pay’, then ‘Apple Pay’ or ‘Google Pay’ and follow the prompts in the app to complete the payment.

4. Once I pay a bill through Sniip, how long does it take for the biller to receive the payment?
Great question, it depends on the payment type!
Generally, we recommend paying your bill 2-3 business days prior to the due date. This means, allowing two-three days for your bills to be received (and reconciled) by your biller.
The daily cut-off time to process your paying in the app, for Sniip to process your payment the following business day are as follow:
-American Express: 5pm AEST
-Visa/Mastercard debit: 5pm AEST
-Visa/Mastercard credit: 5pm AEST
Please note, if you’re paying from Diners Club card or paying from a Bank Account, this requires one additional day processing time. As such, the cut-off time for two business day processing is 5pm AEST).

5. Can I pay my rent through Sniip?
Absolutely! You can pay your home rent , business rent, university accomodation, storage unit and more! through Sniip If your rental receipt contains all of the following:
- The ABN of your biller (we cannot accept ACN)
- The BSB & Account Number for payment
- The total bill amount
- The headline ‘Tax Invoice’ or ‘Invoice’
You can import/screenshot this and add it to Sniip for payment. Simply create an account/sign in, add your payment method then import and pay your bill! It’s that easy.
If your rent receipt doesn’t contain these details, please email a copy of your lease/rental agreement, along with the BSB and Account Number for payment to customercare@sniip.com.
